Sync your MYOB Card File with Address Book
Syncing
with Mac OS X’s Address Book lets you send your contact information
between AccountEdge and your Mac Address Book. It’s easy,
just click on the Sync Cards button. By choosing the preference
to sync with Address Book in Entourage, you can have the same contact
files in AccountEdge, Address Book, and Entourage.

Undo Bank Reconciliation
If you make
a mistake when reconciling your bank statement, you can fix the error
instantly with the new ‘Undo Reconciliation’ button. All entries
that had been reconciled on the date shown will revert to un-reconciled
status, and you can even go back as many months as you need.
Instantly
change a Sales Order or Quote to a Purchase Order
You just
spent 15 minutes entering all the minute details that your invoice requires,
but now you have to repeat the process for the purchase order as well.
With AccountEdge 2008, you can save time on creating purchase orders with
the new ‘Create PO’ button. Located on your sales order screen
and in the Sales Register, one click will generate a purchase order out
of an already created sales order or quote.
Quickly locate Recurring Transactions with new search field
Recurring
Transactions are one of the best ways to save time, but you may have so
many that they become hard to track. The new ‘Search By’ field
on your Recurring Transactions list lets you locate a Recurring Transaction
by Name, Amount, or Next Due Date.
Email payment notifications to customers and vendors
Enhance your vendor and customer relationships by emailing them the information
on payments or refunds you’re about to send. Simply choose which
payments or refunds you would like to send details about and choose to
either print or email these Payment Notifications.
Import
employee payroll details
We’ve
improved importing capabilities by adding the ability to bring more employee
profile information from your HR system into the card file. Bring in personnel
details such as date of birth, gender, start date, and pay details such
as pay basis, pay rate, frequency, and more.
Preview payroll before recording
Payroll processing
is virtually mistake proof with the new ability to preview your payroll
before recording. Now you can review all the details of each employee’s
pay included in the pay run, either on-screen or via a printed report,
without having to drill into the details.
Enhancements to Receive Inventory
AccountEdge
includes three enhancements to our Receive Inventory functionality that
will help you work faster, easier, and more productively:
- Invoices
that cause negative inventory levels are now fully editable after inventory
has been received.
- A new
automatic inventory adjustment entry is made when the received cost
of an item differs from the vendor’s invoice (or differs from
the price paid for an item).
- Receiving
Inventory will now default to the full quantity ordered.
- Import
Inventory Opening balances including Costs and Quantities
Have advanced
warehouse needs? Now you can count on AccountEdge for more help with the
new ability to Import Inventory Opening balances including Costs and Quantities.
This functionality allows you to import counts, opening balances and quantities,
transfers between locations and warehouses, and auto-build adjustments,
as well as integrate other inventory solutions with AccountEdge.
More Improvements
to Importing:
Import on Record ID, Card/Last Name, or Card ID
When importing cards, transactions, items, or other pieces of information
from other systems, you now have three fields from which to check for
duplicates. You can either import against the internal unique Record ID,
the Card Name, or the user-assigned Card ID.
Provide credit application forms to your customers
AccountEdge
now includes a fully-formatted credit application template for Microsoft
Word that merges the contact information from the customer’s card
file into the application before you even send it to the applicant.
View
detailed descriptions on Job Transactions report
You’re
accustomed to seeing the journal memo displayed on your Job Transactions
report, but may be looking for more detailed information you included.
AccountEdge now adds the descriptions you’ve entered on your invoices
and purchase orders to the Job Transactions report.
Job
Transaction and Detail reports now display Allocation Memo data from most
every transaction type
You can prevent
time hunting for Allocation Memos when you display both the Job Activity
Detail and Job Transaction reports. The 2007 version of AccountEdge has
been enhanced to allow you to view the Allocation Memo field for most
transaction types that appear on these reports

AccountEdge
now comes with more templates for Microsoft Word that you can use when
communicating with your customers. New templates include two new collection
notices, a “Special Offer” letter, 7 new Avery® Mailing
and Shipping Label templates and a Rolodex Avery Label template, a #10
envelope template, and a file folder label template.
